City Center Englewood was redeveloped in the late 90’s in an effort to gentrify the surrounding area south of Denver.
As a new urbanism environment, The Museum of Outdoor Arts’ extensive public sculpture collection blends into the landscape and architecture of the commercial and municipal buildings. As a transit oriented site, the RTD Light Rail and buses enhance the theme of transportation in many of the artists’ work.
From 2000-2021 MOA offered indoor galleries, studios, and was headquartered at this location within the Englewood Civic Center. In 2022 MOA closed its indoor galleries and relocated its headquarters to Marjorie Park at Fiddler’s Green Amphitheatre. The Museum continues to maintain several sculptures within and around the Englewood Civic Center and City Center area. Outdoor sculpture is publicly accessible 24/7. Artwork on view inside the Englewood Civic Center is accessible during Civic Center hours.
