Sol Scopos
2025
Steel, Acrylic, Solar Lighting
“Sol Scopos” is an exploration of light, drawing inspiration from a kaleidoscope’s broken geometric array of shapes and colors. With each corner pointing to a cardinal direction, this work is responsive to the place and time it is viewed. By deconstructing geometric forms, specifically the octahedron, we created a unique sacred geometric pattern which is illuminated both day and night.
Design and Build 2025: Tessellation in Bloom
Design and Build 2025- Tessellation in Bloom
Seven emerging artist interns came together over the summer, through our annual Design and Build Summer Internship Program, to collaboratively create several unique, site-specific installations for MOA’s Marjorie Park in only 8 weeks! Emerging artists worked under the direction of our 2025 Artist Fellow, Erica Rawson, and Resource Artist, Walter Ware, with additional assistance by Oliver Cruz.
The theme provided to the artists in 2025 was “sacred geometry: platonic solids.” Installations will be on temporary view through winter of 2025.
