About Lonnie Hanzon

Raised in Colorado, Lonnie’s career started in the performing arts and fashion design.  Soon he was hired to create major public works of art, large-scale urban entertainment projects, and private fine art commissions. His various product lines and licensing deals have run the gamut from sculpted designer lollipops to major public works of art.

Artist, inventor, philosopher and showman, Lonnie Hanzon has gained national renown for his over-the-top, detailed works of art. Comfortable with any material, from sugar to steel to sequins, Hanzon is a design daredevil with a true Da Vinci spirit: multi-disciplined, cross-trained, and absolutely fearless.  With an astute sense of visual dramatics and a clear understanding of the classic rules of storytelling, Hanzon amazed crowds around the globe with his highly original “maximalist” works. In addition to several national television specials, he has worked in Hong Kong, New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Omaha, Denver and Dallas.
