Founded in 1981 as a nonprofit arts organization by Cynthia Madden Leitner and John and Marjorie Madden, the Museum of Outdoor Arts(MOA) is an interdisciplinary arts organization that offers visual, performing and experiential arts programs and events. Known as a pioneer in placing site-specific sculpture throughout Colorado. MOA’s outdoor permanent art collection of nearly 150 artworks spans a variety of public spaces across the Denver metro area—from office parks and botanical gardens to urban parks and dedicated sculpture gardens, primarily in Greenwood Village and Englewood —creating what we call “a museum without walls.”
In addition to its acclaimed outdoor visual art installations, MOA champions the performing and experiential arts by presenting live music, theater, and dance at its venues, including the distinctive Marjorie Park and Fiddler’s Green Amphitheatre. Through curated performances, concerts, and festivals, MOA supports and promotes local, regional, and internationally acclaimed musicians, performing, and visual artists, offering opportunities to share their work in immersive, art-forward environments.
MOA founded, owns and operates Fiddler’s Green Amphitheatre in collaboration with its tenant AEG Presents. With over 300,000 concertgoers visiting annually, Fiddler’s Green further enhances MOA’s arts and cultural offerings in the community by presenting world class musicians on its stage.
MOA also heavily invests in arts education, mainly through its signature Design and Build program, which provides opportunities for young artists, students, and creative minds to work with professional artists on collaborative art projects. From exhibitions to interdisciplinary events, MOA invites the community to engage with art in all its forms. At its core, MOA remains dedicated to its mission of “making art a part of everyday life.”
