Installation Description

A Winter Wonderland by Mister Christmas is a richly detailed diorama that brings a whimsical winter scene to life through movement, craft, and imagination. Featuring gently moving gondolas, trains, and miniature airplanes, the installation unfolds within a snowy landscape of trees, playful architecture, and a charming rocket motel, all watched over by a friendly snowman. Created using upcycled vintage technology, Mister Christmas transforms found materials into a magical, kinetic environment that celebrates nostalgia, ingenuity, and the quiet wonder of winter.

The installation comes to life every day between 3:00 and 10:30PM. Be sure to put this on your Christmas light tour map!

Artist Biography

Scott Hildebrandt is a miniatures artist with a studio based in Englewood, CO.

Artist Statement
My love of miniatures goes back to my childhood when I spent hours with my grandfather, who was a model train enthusiast. Affectionately nicknamed “Mister Christmas,” I have combined my passion for miniatures with my love for holidays, the outdoors and all things repurposed. Each scene is a one-of-a-kind view of everyday life, whether it is a snapshot of nature or a glimpse of a bustling city. You might notice that I don’t include people in my art. I want to evoke your mind to imagine that you are there in the diorama. Most pieces are lit using small LED lights and some include motorized movement. Each work by “Mister Christmas” is made at my studio in Englewood, Colorado.
