About the Workshop

Participants will learn how to make colorful linoleum block prints onto paper in the form of stationary, greeting cards, or small works of art. We will also experiment with printing from fresh and fake foliage, for a natural, textured effect. Mixed media supplies will be available for adding a finishing touch. Participants can expect to leave with a handful of creative and spontaneous colorful prints.

All materials provided. Please wear artmaking clothes and plan to let your creativity play.

*This workshop is not suitable for children under 10 years old. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

About the Artist

Jennifer Ghormley is a Denver-based artist, specializing in printmaking, mixed media, and installation art. She has worked at Anderson Ranch Art Center, previously held an Artist-in-Residence at RedLine Contemporary Art Center, Museum of Outdoor Arts, and the Children’s Museum. She is on the Teaching Artist Roster at Think360 Arts, working with young audiences and integrative arts programs. Jennifer is also an instructor at the University of Denver, University of Colorado at Boulder, and Art Student’s League of Denver. Ms. Ghormley is a co-director of Month of Printmaking, and an artist member of the Niza Knoll Gallery on Santa Fe Dr in Denver. Visit her website to learn more.

Entrance gate to Marjorie Park is located on the North Side of Fiddler’s Green Amphitheatre at 6331 S. Fiddler’s Green Circle., Greenwood Village, CO 80111. Free parking is available to the east of our box office and along Fiddler’s Green Circle.
