About Bobcat Mural

The Designosaur (Julia Williams) is an artist, muralist, illustrator, and Colorado native. Her work takes inspiration from festival culture, nature, and dance influences, and often includes strong female figures, animals, neon colors, and space. She strives to create artwork that feels otherworldly and invokes a sense of wonder and mystery for the viewer.

“This piece celebrates one of the most elusive creatures in Colorado, the Bobcat. I chose to depict a bobcat in its mountain habitat, at nighttime, because they are nocturnal animals who prefer to operate under the cover of darkness. The light from the moon lends an ethereal quality to the piece, emphasizing the mystery of this rarely-seen and majestic creature.”
