MOA is excited to partner with the College of Arts & Media (CAM) at the University of Colorado Denver to host the 2023 summer internship at their sculpture lab studio located on their campus in the heart of Denver, Colorado. MOA is seeking up to 8 interns for summer of 2023 (June 14 – Aug 5) to work under the direction of our Design and Build Fellow Artist, Erica Rawson and Resource Artist and Sculpture Lab Manager, Walter Ware. The 2023 project includes collaboratively creating temporary outdoor artwork(s) for MOA’s outdoor sculpture park, Marjorie Park, located just south of Denver in Greenwood Village at Fiddler’s Green Amphitheatre. MOA will host an artist reception at the park and the artwork(s) will be on public view for up to one-year.
From concept development, proposal review, materials procurement, timeline and budget management, to fabrication and installation, this intensive 8-week program will provide interns the opportunity to participate completely in the art making process. Participants will be working at the CAM sculpture studio and all materials and tools will be provided.
