Design and Build Fellow Erica Rawson

2025 Design and Build Fellow Erica Rawson

In 2025, MOA welcomes Erica Rawson back for an expanded Fellowship role within our  Design and Build Program. Erica held the post in 2023 and will once again mentor and lead the Design and Build Summer Interns on their collaborative projects in 2025 with the help of resource artist, Walter Ware. In her expanded fellowship, Erica will take on a larger role in the planning of the program and projects. In addition, MOA has commissioned Erica to create a temporary installation / sculpture to be installed at Marjorie Park this spring / summer.

About Erica
Erica Rawson is an interdisciplinary artist based in Denver, Colorado, working in sculpture, printmaking, collage, and installation. With an emphasis on materiality, her practice reflects on the intangible connections that bind us to one another, using memories and objects as vessels for storytelling, transformation, and shared experience. Her work often embraces corrosion and decay, allowing materials to evolve and create new meanings.

Originally from Pensacola, Florida, Erica moved to Denver in 2012, where she currently resides with her daughter Clem. She has over ten years of experience in metal fabrication and has worked on installations for local venues and public art pieces nationwide. As the current Art Director of The Matchbox Collective, she curates exhibitions and collaborates with regional and national artists to foster an inclusive creative community. Erica has a BFA with an emphasis in Sculpture from Metropolitan State University of Denver.
