About the Exhibition
On July 29, 2017 MOA will open three new exhibitions. The exhibitions will commence with an opening reception from 6:00 - 9:00pm at MOA's indoor gallery headquarters in the Englewood Civic Center, located at 1000 Englewood Pkwy, Englewood, CO 80110. The celebration is open to the public and will include hors d'oeuvres, drinks, music by the local band Winehouse and complimentary gallery admission.
MOA will debut The Sculptured Buildings of Charles Deaton in the MOA Sound Gallery. Architect Charles Deaton (1921-1996) designed the Key Savings and Loan Bank Building located at 3501 S. The structure is now occupied by Community Banks of Colorado and the Greater Englewood Chamber of Commerce. The exhibition will highlight Deaton's three sculptured buildings including his similarly styled Wyoming National Bank in Casper Wyoming and his Genesse, CO Residence (better known as the Sleeper House). This exhibition will be on view through September 22, 2017.
