Cabinet of Curiosities, MOA’s latest exhibition features a variety of “cabinets” by artists from around the U.S. North Carolina based artist, Jayne Harnett-Hargrove, has created a cabinet for the show entitled “Paper Doll stories: life profiles and confessions”. This figurative cabinet is comprised of a series of paper dolls each based on a different female heroine. The characters have individual tales, written on the dolls themselves, and are brought to life through an original costume ensemble reflecting each character’s persona.
